Michigan placed under arrest after police search home

On Behalf of Michael A. Rataj, PC | Sep 24, 2022 | Federal Drug Charge

One Michigan man is facing severe consequences and serious criminal allegations of drug-related activities. Law enforcement placed him under arrest after they searched his home while executing two warrants. He is accused of supplying different types of narcotics to dealers. Any activity related to the trafficking or distribution of narcotics is a federal offense, and it can result in penalties that may change the course of one’s life.

Drug trafficking accusations

The police conducted a search of his home at the end of last month, and they found various types of drugs. According to the police report, the man allegedly had fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine in his home. The amounts of the narcotics they found supposedly indicated that he intended to distribute them.

The defendant is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine. If convicted, he could face a significant amount of time behind bars. With previous convictions on his record, he would be wise to take his situation seriously and seek defense counsel as soon as possible as these convictions could affect the consequences of his current case.

What are his options?

When facing serious criminal charges, a defendant would be wise to seek the experienced guidance of a knowledgeable defense attorney. Even with such serious charges against him, this individual has the right to fight back and seek the best possible outcome. A careful look at all relevant factors can provide insight regarding the most appropriate defense strategy. Everyone charged with a crime is guaranteed the presumption of innocence unless and until proved guilty in court and beyond a reasonable doubt.
